I’m a fan of two sticks/bipod for dangerous game. Quicker to get on and off them. If you are hunting South Africa with longer shots a tripod will be more stable.
Yep. Crazy. As mentioned below, I have hunted this same area with the PH involved. Anyone who has DG hunting experience should know this can and does happen - fortunately rarely - with experienced PHs and hunters. We should all pay our respects and keep speculation and non-relevant opinions...
Mini is a PH. Lives in Tanzania and hunts Uganda and Tanzania. I hunted with Mini is this same area in Uganda last Feb. He is an excellent PH. Prayers for all involved.
Just returned from Uganda. While shooting, a 1/8” deep egg shaped portion of the stock detached just behind the bolt. Gun had been shot many times before. Unfortunately I didn’t notice the damage at the time and therefore don’t have the missing piece. Any recommendations for a stock...
Jim’s (African Sporting Creations) sticks are great. I’ve purchased two sets. I’ve also gone to Home Depot and purchased wooden dowels and made my own. Jim’s are hands down better (smaller diameter, break down etc) and the wood has character.
