58gr of Relader 7 and a 300gr Hornady HP at 2060fps. Only problem is they are kinda short but will feed if you take your time. Deadly on hogs.

Are the aluminum weaver mounts strong enough to handle the recoil. I was going to mount it to the ring. What pica-tinny would you use or recommend.

I’ve got my heart set on a 450 #2 . But with the scarcity of ammo and components do you think the 470 would be the better route? I would love a Birmingham boxlock in 450#2. But I see some Searcy 470s floating around that look like a lot of gun for the money.

I agree with Neophyte. I’m a cow calf producer in central Alabama. We have enough problems with vultures and coyotes. I’m aware grizzly bears won’t be released here . I would hate to know if I was rancher in that area that I had bears to fight also.
