I work as a Paramedic. Dreamt of going to Africa and spoke of it so much that my wife finally gut checked me one night about 4 years back and said figure out how to do it and go. Having young kids at home I thought this would be all but impossible. But as others have said, prioritize, plan and...
I took a couple bottles of obscure hard to find bourbons with me as gifts for my PH and my taxidermist this last go around. Put them in bubble wrap and put them in my check bag. No issues.
I promised to write a review of this hunt and I still will! Upon returning home I got caught up with catching up with work from taking time off and then the hurricane named Helene hit. Needless to say where I live (Western NC), and my career (Emergency Services) everything got back burner...
I got over rode by the spouse unit today due to 2 vehicles needing new tires going into fall/winter sorry to have wasted your time friend! I hope you are able to sell.

Thanks for the compliment on the kudu, he was honestly the trophy I went there for! Being my first safari I elected to use my PHs rental gun, a CZ 550 in 375H&H. I’ll be taking my Winchester model 70 in 375 in two months when I go. The ammo were some of my PHs reloads. Fairly certain he uses...
I realize how hard the bug has bit. I’m on the cusp of safari #2 and I’m looking to plan #3 with my 11 year old a year from now while looking at my work schedule for overtime and computing the math of how many shifts are needed….
