Tango: did they ever import any of the TXRG in 6.5x55?
I looked and watched everywhere and saw most calibers show up but never any of that. I’d loves to stash away a bunch of the new stuff whenever it arrives. I’m a big fan of the SPCE as well and so this should be great.
Hey thanks for the suggestion. I’m in upper NE Montana but even then I would consider it. Iron sights seem be this mystical beast that no “gunsmith” wants to touch. Thread it in and tap the end of the barrel but don’t want to fit and solder.
Problem with rebarreling a M77 or ZKK in another caliber is that will put it over $2,000, which means I may as well buy one in said caliber. Not to mention finding a gunsmith willing or able to install sights and a banded sling mount is dang hard.
I was bidding on that ZKK with the popup...
Located in Montana. Looking for a 7x57/.275 Rigby. Looking at around $2k ish budget. Don’t want or need a museum piece or exquisite wood. Willing to go more for the right gun or less for the right gun.
For plus or minus cash trade I have an unfired Ruger #1 .300 H&H.
So what...
Nice rifle. The savage 23 series would be a beauty of a rimfire to pair with it. Love mine. In search of one in .22 hornet at the moment. Seen a couple with beautiful stocks as well.
One of the things I liked about John Wayne is he really wasn’t much of an actor. He played himself.
Though I’m not a weatherby fan either I have respect for the role they played in the golden age of post ww2 hunting culture.
Some harder to find ammo I will pick up if it’s a decent deal. I like oddball stuff and if you want it, often it is super expensive IF…..you can even find it.
I just picked up some 400/350 nitro express and .240 rimless Magnum Kynoch ammo.
I didn’t need it but I figured someone on...
I have not shot the .300 H&H, it is unfired. That’s why I was wrestling with shooting it since even without a box it is somewhat collectible.
And realistically I don’t think it would unseat my Winchester pre-64 .300 H&H from my cabinet as it does 3 shot groups I can cover with a quarter.
I buy at any time there is a deal. Sometimes it is a store closeout, a guy dispersing his stuff and wanting a quick sale. Sometimes it is a really good load that isn’t cheap but……it works so well you keep buying it.
I never have a cap of “enough”. I try to have a minimum of 200 rounds of...
To clarify: The .458 is a Winchester Magnum. I apologize for not mentioning it earlier. The barrel marking was clear and it was made in 1976. The .458 lott wasn't made in the Number 1 until 2002 so I hadn't thought to clarify. Again, I apologize for the mis-communications.
Located in Montana. Only posted here. Willing to email, phone call etc any way to make someone comfortable with purchasing, I have done multiple deals with members on here.
