For hunting Africa I like a shorter barrel. You lose something like 25/fps per inch. What would that matter on 100 yd shots on big game? Whether scrunching through the Jesse in Zim or navigating the nasty willows in Alaska a shorter barrel is welcomed!

I applaud your ingenuity. This is a great plan! It will take time but with some effort you will surely make enough to add some nice animals.

Don't listen to the naysayers. Get a good TA that knows the rules, have plenty of time in Sydney to jump through the hoops, and go hunt with your guns! The more we fly with guns the easier it is for others.

I would prefer to work her up to something a bit bigger. Maybe a 7mm08. The .243 would work for some that you plan to hunt. Hyena are primarily only available on DG hunts. No one told me that either years ago.

Tanzania is quite complicated. What you are asking for is a PG hunt in Massailand. I did this very hunt a few years ago with Michelle Mantheakis and highly recommend him. He had a PG 10 day special that I jumped on. Be prepared, Tanzania is terribly expensive. I priced this hunt for 10 years...
