I'm not a collector at all, but the patina, the history, the name, the caliber, all in a rifle I could actually consider hunting with as intended. I was deeply, deeply tempted! But in my tax bracket it's better I put that money to work on a trip. Congrats to the buyer.

It's really remarkable, I was skeptical of the hype but they work. If I hadn't at the same time discovered that in early morning low light I have astigmatism and the red dot becomes sort of useless I might hunt with it again! Instead I'm thinking of heading the exact opposite direction this season.
