We are a small safari company operating in Southern Africa, specializing in Mozambique and Zimbabwe.

We are passionate about fair chase ethical hunting, and we love to conduct safaris to the truly remote, wild parts of Africa. We understand it's not just a safari for you - it's a culmination of childhood dreams and detailed planning years in the making. With this in mind, we strive to offer you the very best experience we can. We are proud to offer Dark Continent hunting at its wildest and best, so come and experience “miles and miles of bloody Africa” with us. As Pliny the Elder so rightly stated...

"Ex Africa semper aliquidi novi - out of Africa, there is always something new"

We only conduct safaris with the most ethical and responsible of concessionaires in their respective areas, who have a vested interest in their local communities and anti-poaching programs. Likewise, we subscribe to proven scientific wildlife management policies that lead to the best sustainable use practice. This ensures that not only wildlife populations thrive, but more importantly, their associated habitats too.

Having a deep love for Africa, we take pride and pleasure in creating memorable safaris, from hunting dangerous or plains game to photographic adventures, fishing, walking, or birding safaris. Our focus is to provide the best experience we possibly can, with the client central to everything we do.

Hunting Areas

Mozambique

Moz.jpg

Dangerous game hunting is what Niassa is becoming increasingly renowned for. Quality old dagga boys, beautiful leopard (often taken in daylight hours), and mature lions make for first-class safari adventures. The plains game is characterised by regional endemics such as Roosevelt Sable, Niassa Wildebeest, Lichtenstein’s Hartebeest, Johnson's Impala and Boehms Zebra. The usual selection of plains game is available, including impressive East African Eland, Kudu, Waterbuck, Bushbuck, Warthog, Bushpig, Hyena, Reedbuck, Impala, and Duiker. If the aquatic species are your target, our area has crocodiles and hippos available to the hunter.

This country offers a diversity of experience few others can match, from dangerous game hunting in wild, untouched wilderness to deep-sea fishing.

Luwire L7

Luwcinge.jpg

With exclusive use of the camps in the 1.1 million acre concession, this unfenced area in the Niassa Special Reserve is as remote and wild an experience as you could hope to get. We have three East African-style tented camps along 250 km (160 miles) of very scenic river frontage. We also have a seasonal fly camp to access the remotest parts of our concession. The camps are rustic yet comfortably appointed, set amongst the riverine bush of the famed Lugenda River.[

Zimbabwe

Zim.jpg

This is a large and well-managed concession that teems with wildlife. In particular, the area is famous for its large concentration of the Big Five. Buffalo, Lion, and Leopard abound, and they are some of the premier species sought after in this large concession. The area is well known for its dangerous game hunting, however, the plains game is varied and numerous, and many first-time Africa goers are well advised to safari to this lowveld destination. All the concession managers take conservation seriously, and nowhere is this more evident than in their anti-poaching efforts. You can rest assured that a safari to this hunting mecca will contribute directly to their conservation programs as well as habitat preservation, which is the crux of the problem facing our wild populations in the present day.

Dave prides himself on being a naturalist, as well as a hunter and guide.

Charity

Charity has been tracking for Dave since 2013. However, his tracking career spans 20 years, having worked for other respected professional hunters in Zimbabwe. He is from a small village called Makado in Southern Zimbabwe where he learnt his trade, as did most of his colleagues, from tending and tracking his family's livestock in the wilds of rural Zimbabwe.

Charity is a happy and hard-working companion on safari. His tracking ability, as great as it is, is only surpassed by his eagerness for the hunt.

Thomas
Tom.jpg

Tom is a valued member of the team and has been with Dave since 2014. His enthusiasm on safari is truly infectious. The only thing greater than his tracking skills is his ability with a 'demo' (locally made axe) and his smile, which you can find permanently plastered across his face. His eyesight is incredible, and he is ever willing to do the tough jobs on safari. Tom is an avid bass fisherman and a budding horticulturalist. He hails from the City of Kings, Bulawayo.

Sarah and David have been friends since childhood, have been married for eight years, and have two beautiful daughters together. They say that behind every successful man is a good woman, and that is certainly true of Sarah - she is the glue that holds our safari company together. She has a degree in advertising, marketing, and design.

Sarah

Sarah is responsible for our logistics and administration, and it's her constant and tireless attention to detail that ensures our clientele have a hassle-free and enjoyable time on safari. Sarah accompanies Dave on safari, where possible, and lends a definite flair to the culinary and hosting side of safari life. She has an interest in photography and likes to document safari life as well as capture Africa's unique wildlife through the lens of her camera.

Accommodation
Mozambique

LUCINGE CAMP is situated on the confluence of the Lucinge and Lugenda rivers, and was the first camp built in L7. It has recently been partially rebuilt and refurbished. Picturesque Star Chestnut trees tower over the dining room and living area, and it is common to see monkeys and bushbuck tiptoeing through camp.

NDAPATA CAMP is nestled in thick riverine bush along a scenic stretch of the Lugenda river. The bathrooms are ensuite with flushing commodes and running water. The spacious and comfortable tents are situated mere feet from the water’s edge and one can often see hippos from the veranda of your tent. One has to take care on the paths between the tents as the hippo often use them too!

LUGENDA CAMP is the headquarters camp in L7 and one where the air charters arrive and depart in the shadow of the impressive inselberg range called Ngolonje. The camp is situated under huge sprawling Sycamore figs, and Yellow baboons, Samango Monkeys, as well as elephant, bushbuck and waterbuck are often encountered in the camp environs. Leopard and lion occasionally walk through camp in the late afternoon and evenings.

Zimbabwe
The hunting camps on this concession are family-friendly and cater to the most discerning hunter. All the camps have wifi and are on 110 V - 220 V generators. There are 9 luxury camps on the concession, and all are either situated on a scenic dry river bed, a waterhole or on top of a mountain, making for the most fabulous views after an exciting days hunting. The accommodation is very comfortable and tastefully furnished, and the staff are friendly and attentive to your needs.
Zimbabwe is well know internationally as being a great safari destination to visit for a variety of reasons. The climate is good, the people are friendly and the scenery and animal diversity worth every penny. There are many reasons why we love Zimbabwe and the pictures below show just some of what the visitor can expect.

I just finished watching the 2 episodes of Tracks Across Africa y’all did in Niassa with the lion, buff, hippo. Very well done and exciting hunting. That lion follow up had to be very nerve wracking. Y’all handled it very well. Congrats to you and your hunter on a great safari.

Safari Dave wrote on GUN & TROPHY INSURANCE's profile.
I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
