looking for anyone that has tried the above powder RL15.5 in their 9.3x62 since RL15 and 17 are not available working with Varget, Big Game but not able to get to 2500fps due to running out of powder space. going to try using Barnes 250 TSX and see if that helps. my Sauer can only load to 3.322 coal. thanks

3.32" should be plenty of space for medium fine ball powder like Big Game, at least for any 286 gr other than TSX.

I'd also look at 2000MR - it's finer than Big Game, I believe. I had no trouble getting 62.5 gr of it under Hammer 258 gr all copper, which is a much longer bullet than any of the 286 gr out there, with a COAL of 3.30 initially.

I believe RL15.5 is about the same level of fine-ness as RL16

I can't help you with TSX 286 gr loads, but any other 286 gr you should easily achieve 2400 fps with 3.32" and Big Game or 2000MR, even with that 21" barrel. I know you want 2500, but 2400 is still plenty.

I keep editing this.

Do a 10-shot ladder, start with either 58.0 or 59.0 of Big Game/2000MR, go up in half grain increments until you see pressure signs, then back off a grain. I'm at 2475 fps with 286 gr A Frame and 62.5 gr of 2000MR, COAL of 3.325.

I've started LD for my son's Sauer 9.3x62, all the lead core bullets I've tried, I could probably seat them out to about 3.34 or even 3.35 and still have at least .02 jump

I would also look at CFE223 and N550. Both have worked well for me in 9.3x62 and 9.3x74. CFE223 seems to pack in quite tightly, and is well suited to the 250gr class bullets.

I use the Varget load below

Subscribed. Hey dude in BC...if you don't mind sharing, what is your load and velocity with the CFE223 and 250gr?

I'm out and about, tonight or tomorrow I will check my notes. I think it was around 63/64gr, but don't quote me.

Check out this thread, has a lot of info about that combination:

I have some 250 Barnes TSX loaded up wait for my rifle to be done going to shoot Varget then move to Big Game and see what happens, going to have to order some 258 Hammers. only a few days before leaving for Africa so not much will happen until I get back. I will post how the loads go

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
