Ok, I'm looking for Brussel Sprout recipes.

I was recently given some farm fresh Baby Brussel Sprouts by @jcinsa who grows them commercially.

I was not a fan of them as a kid. My wife says my mother probably boiled them too long.

I steamed some with my other steamed veg. My wife said roast some with the veg in the oven, just add them later. I did that as well.

I was going to write a book 101 ways to cook Brussel Sprouts to support our Brussel Sprout farmers but I'm only up to 2 ways to cook these at the moment.

Roasting them in the oven with other vegetables is the best way that we have found. I don't care for them steamed or boiled but roasted they are very tasty.

They are good roasted. To really take them to the next level , saute some bacon in a pan ( chopped up), add the Brussels sprouts ( quartered or halved) and some fresh garlic, fresh ground black pepper. Saute until they get nicely brown. Bacon fat may negate some of the benefits of the veggie but as an occasional treat hard to do better.

As others have mentioned, they're great roasted.

I like to cut into fourths, coat in olive oil, season with salt, pepper, garlic, roast at 425 for 20 minutes or so. Stir around half way thru. Some of the thin leaves will looked burn but that's the best ones! haha

+1
We do this and love it. The only thing bacon fat negates is a bad attitude

Stir fried with hot chillies:) Not exactly sure how my wife makes them but they are awesome

I cut them in half and put them in a bowl and rinse with cold water. Cover and put them in microwave on high for about 90 seconds (depends on how many you are cooking). The little bit of water in the bowl steams them and I add butter, salt and pepper when the sprouts are done. They are still crunchy to eat, but no bitterness.
Roasting is also a good prep, but I think you have to be careful not to overcook them as they get mushy and bitter.

My father in-law does a great job of hiding them in Bacon grease and Bacon bits.

I'm with @Red Leg though. Too bitter for my tongue.

Sizzle in butter and a little bit Vanilla , little bit vanilla seeds or puree, takes the bitterness away from them.

Or in Asian bamboo steamer i like it also.

Bacon makes everything taste better

I’ve boiled them and added butter.
Broiled them with EVOO. (Somerimes with other veggies or just with onions).
Make a slaw out of them (blanch them first) with a light vinaigrette (With lemon juice)
Sauté them with onions, peppers, Italian sausage, capers, garlic, EVOO and serve over pasta. (gives me an idea for diner tonight).

This guy knows what up

Bacon grease, balsamic, garlic, toss and cook in air fryer 12 minutes 365. Toss with Bacon in last 2 minutes. Everything tastes better with Bacon. Just made these on mother's day.

Never had them boiled but I can't imagine it would help the flavor at all. I have cut them in half, applied bacon grease to pan, place cut side up on medium heat until golden brown on the bottom, turn to cut side down until a nice dark golden brown. Of course you can flavor as desired or just use regular oil. I actually like the flavor of a simple brussel sprout but they have to be cooked correctly.

Lightly Sprinkle or to taste grated Parmesan over the above when removing from oven

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
