Maybe it's because I live in Alaska and am accustomed to shooting large animals like moose...but something intrigues me about Eland. I'm looking forward to hunting one this July when I head back to RSA. And those eland steaks on the brai are awesome! Anyone else planning on arrowing a big one this year?

I used 1 3/8 grim reapers for all plains game. Performed perfect with my setup.. 70lb / 30" and 474gr arrow

Only reasons I didn't get pass throughs on a couple animals, including this one, was sticking the offside shoulder with quartering away shots.

Really big one. Walked him down. Two days and probably 30 Kms. Eden, Namibia and a .375.

That is an awesome eland Red Leg! Its on my list (again!) this summer coming up in RSA. I too hunted Eden once, but didnt get my eland. We tried.

Eland wasn't originally on my list but if I see a mature bull I will definitely run an arrow in him! Leaving in 3 weeks and my wish list is getting longer by the day.

My VISA loves it when my wish list grows the closer I get to a trip. 113 days until wheels up and headed south:thumb:

All great pics of beautiful trophies. An eland is definitely in the running if I can get a croc secured first. Good luck on your trip!

2 great animals there Marius.
I think I need to add an Eland on my list next time I come to you and hunt with my bow :)

Bjorn,
Have a new place to hunt, which I have just recently acquired. You need to get here ASAP. There is a snorter of an Nyala with your name on it. Walk and stalk Bow hunt.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
Behind the scenes of taking that perfect picture.....

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
Ready for the hunt with HTK Safaris
