I stopped by a gun shop near me and saw something I was not expecting. They had 5 or 6 boxes of 307 Winchester 180 gr Power Points for I believe $40 bucks a box. If interested send me a message and I can pass along the location.

Ok, be honest…..how many else said to themselves “307 Winchester….what is that?”

Perhaps my ignorance shows but I’ll bet I’m not the only one.

Haha, I basically agree. The only reason I know about it is because I used to have a somewhat obsession with the 356 Winchester and the 307 was the parent case and they came out about the same time.

A few years ago I saw a Winchester .307 being advertised for a low price , I consider myself fairly knowledgeable on the types of firearms available but had never heard of a .307 Winchester so just assumed it was just some old obscure caliber or a printing error . I passed the information on to a friend of mine and didn't do any research . My friend had also never heard of this caliber but he contacted the seller and after getting some information decided to buy the rifle .
On seeing the rifle I realized I made a mistake , the rifle is a Winchester Lever Action in .307 caliber and in pristine condition , I missed out on an excellent deal but at least my friend benefited . As I was to find out the .307 is basically a rimmed .308 cartridge made for a Winchester Lever action rifle . Sometimes a little research and less assumption is beneficial .

I have never heard of it.... Looks like a good round. I own a 309 JDJ.

I have a 307 Win. It is a good shooter in M94AE Winchester. I reload for it, but $40.00 a box probably isn't bad now.
Love my 309 JDJ, but hold on when you pull the trigger!

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
