I know this may be a harder one to come across, but I'm looking to add an early Ruger M77 with the flat bolt in 7x57 to my collection. The flat bolts initially were only available in short action calibers but latter they did make some in long action before switching to the hollow bolt design revision.

Would also possibly consider a round top M77 in 7x57 if you happen to have one of these also. These are the rifles made before Ruger integrated their proprietary scope mount base system into the receiver

Not a 7x57 but Scheels in Fargo, ND had two flat bolts in 6mm last Wednesday. Both were in great condition but one looked new.

For sure wanting a 7x57 but those do sound interesting. I'm assuming, they don't deal out of state or even list used firearms on their site where I could see them?

Not to be persnickety, but the integral bases were on the first production M77 rifle to leave the Ruger factory. The round tops came out maybe 4 years later for those clamoring to use more familiar bases/rings. They were only produced for a few years. If you want rare, try to find a hollow bolt rifle. Maybe 2,000 escaped from the factory.

Yes, you are correct as I understand it now also regarding the round tops. I have a hollow bolt LA in 7x57. I'm told that's pretty darn rare as most hollow bolts were short action apparently

Good on you! I had a hollow bolt 25-06 in ‘72 or ‘73, but it was traded away, stupidly.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
