Dr. Says I can't do what I wanted to do, so I have decided not to build the 505 Gibbs project I was planning.

That being said, I have already bought a bunch of brass (over 200 pieces). If you are interested in it, please send a DM.

I have 23pcs Norma (new), 48 pcs Jameson (new), 120 pcs Betram (new), and 28 pcs HDS (once fired). I also have a three die RCBS die set and some bullets (33 Barnes bullets and 25 CS custom cast bullets. I literally just bought the CS bullets off of this forum like a week ago).

I'm thinking $1,600, and I'll ship it states side, or you can DM with offers, trades, or whatever. Fair warning, I'll take a trade, but it will need to be interesting. If it is not interesting, I would prefer a post office money order or a check. I will also break it up a little bit, I would prefer no smaller than 40 pieces for $240 kinda deal, but who knows. Let me know if you're interested.

Well I have two of those 550 magnum projects going. Im kinda pot committed on them. I just don't know if I'll be able to shoot them.

The 505 Gibbs was at a point I just called and had the gun smith turn that order into a .338 Norma Magnum project (I have 1,000 pieces of brass for that cartridge). He was understanding about the situation and we just pivoted off of the heavy recoil gun to long range shooter.

AZDave gave me some ideas about reloading that might work. So, I ordered the Quickload software and have been looking at load data and recoil potential. If I can get the recoil under 45 ft/LBS (what the Dr. Says is safe) then I'm going to keep going (I'm looking at reduced loading data, heavy rifles, muzzle breaks, and mercury recoil reducers). The 505 Gibbs just has so much case capacity I don't think I can safely and reasonably get there.

Thx for asking.

Not sure where you want to head with the 505, but 5744 May get you there. I’ve used the 55gr load for practice. Shot well. https://forums.**NOT**PERMITTED**.c...01060101&a=tpc&csra=Y&m=6701060101#6701060101

Ya, that is what AZDave suggested, and I think it is possible. I bought quickloads to look at the potential.

I think I am going to have to make a sacrifice on these 50 calibers. I have several that I am not turning off. Ultimately, I think they're going to say I have to stay in the 40 caliber area, but I'm going to play with quickloads some more.

I guess the bottom line is the 505 Gibbs is out for me. So, I have some extra stuff available.

I'm interested, sending PM.

EVERYTHING IS GONE, BIG_EASY has dibs on the last of it. If he does not execute, someone else has dibs.

Thanks for looking. I think everyone got good deals. See you guys the next time.
Thx everyone for your interested!!

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
