So the 25 creedmoor has been released.
Does it have a place or is it redundant in the hunting world?

Will @Bob Nelson 35Whelen be building a modern .25 and sporting a ManBun?

Will it help bring more variety of .25 cal projectiles online

@CBH Australia
Chris it will still be a man in just in 25 cal
If'n I'd known about the new 130+gn that were coming out in 25 cal I would have got a 1:8 twist barrel. A 131gn long aerodynamic bullets at 3,000fps would hold their velocity a long long way out.
As is John Barsness said the 25-06 is a better long range cartridge than the 6.5 creede.
Why do they just want to try and reinvent the wheel.
Bob

That looks like a decent option for my daughter. She's about 90 lbs. Just need to find a left hand in a youth model. Which is highly unlikely...

There are youth model .243’s. My wife’s Weatherby GH2 is a compact in girly colours. Bob will probably say it’s a girly cartridge.

I think there are youth 7mm-08 rifles. Asking for a left handed model limits the options greatly but there may be something.

I used a 7mm-08 with lighter loads from the vehicle. I’m considerably heavier than your daughter but recoil did not bother me from the car and I was able to shoot quickly and accurately from the vehicle without considering recoil or flinching.
I think the Tikka CTR does come in a left handed but it’s just in the heavy end of a hunting rifle weight with the medium profile 20” barrel.

I like the 7-08. I was able to get my other daughter (her twin btw) a Browning X-Bolt Micro midas in left hand in that caliber but unable to find another one so far. Left hand really limits my options. Both my girls are left eye dominant so I started them shooting leftie from the get go. I will keep looking. No big rush. I have e RH 243 she is shooting now. It's just a little awkward for her.

I see no reason to replace my 257 wb
I have 0 interest in shooting anything not wounded past 500yd and that would be crop damage permit. True hunting 400 yds max really want everything inside 300yds

It’s will not be a game changer for hunting, it’s going to be the next latest thing for target shooters/ paper punching, who like high B.C low recoil,
Who is going to start making a strong hunting bullet for 1/4 cals, .25 ?
I personally wouldn’t go to Africa, elk , nilgai, simbar hunting with it , but would be comfortable with a .257 weatherby

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
Behind the scenes of taking that perfect picture.....

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
