I’ve got a small fortune in holsters, leather, kydex, neoprene and Velcro, shoulder, appendix, hip, small of the back. Etc, etc.

I’m really liking this minimalist IWB appendix carry for my Glock. I’ve got this style for smaller platforms also.

My buddy tried to get me onto one of those minimalist clips for my 365X. I just couldn't do it. I just feel a little better with a full kydex. One of those would be real slick inside a EDC pack, though. I know Eberlestock makes a cross body/waist bag that that has an internal loop that will grab one of them.

If you were to find yourself in a hand to hand situation obviously things did not according to plan.

A knife for chores other than self defense is a different subject entirely. Some states permit concealed firearms only where another may allow concealed weapons in addition to firearms.

If you feel like I do that an edged weapon should be part of your every day carry in addition to your pistol/revolver the Benchmade Auto Fact is worth consideration. Fast opening and slim enough to forget it is riding inside the pocket, especially when your knife hand is naturally opposite your preferred "gun" hand. Not the best for slicing but an excellent trusting blade IMHO.

Usually in town, a Gen 3 Glock 27 w/165gr. Win LE (Black Talon) carried in an older leather Dillon open top OWB belt loop holster. Spare 9 or sometimes 15 round mag in side or rear cargo pants pocket. Very concealable under a 2x golf shirt. I don’t golf but I love the light, looser fit of the shirts. And, sometimes my Glock 29 w/180gr. Sig V-Crown carried in a nylon flat formed open top OWB belt loop holster (unknown brand). Very concealable as well under a shirt. Spare mag carried the same.

I’ve been looking for a carry size 2011. It looks like Live Free Armor makes a 4.1” barrel double stack 1911 in 9mm. It’s getting good reviews for quality and accuracy.

Anyone have experience with one. Or another carry size DS 1911

I’m giving serious consideration to switching our carry pistols to Glock 19’s with the new AimPoint COA. All in for around $1K including the optic. Pretty amazing deal considering the price per component and the new A-Cut direct mount. No need for a plate adapter. Also has bottom 1/4 co-witnessed steel irons.

Can’t go wrong with a Glock or Aimpoint. So them paired is a great combo

The A-Cut direct mount on them is a game changer and I am not sure why it took them so long. I guess they felt they really needed to up their game and get onboard with Sig. I love my Sig but it's hard to argue with the reliability and price point of the Glock.

I'm considering an update from my Gen 4 Glock 19 with open sights to the new Gen 5 Glock 49 with an optic such as this. I need to move to an optics-ready pistol anyway, and I like the idea of the slightly longer barrel from the Glock 17.

I don't get all in the weeds with Gen 3 vs Gen 4 vs Gen 5. At the end of the day, the Glock is simply a reliable tool to get the job done. Same with AimPoint. And I agree that this is a long time coming. I'll be an early adopter. Right now they are wicked hard to find.

Glock owns the rights to the optic for the first year, meaning the COA can only be purchased on a new Glock pistol until that time is up. Then AimPoint will open sales to the public and Glock will probably start offering A-Cut slides for sale. Probably take the aftermarket machining industry about that long to get the correct dimensions for milling the A-Cut anyway.

I agree. I don’t really care about the different generations of Glocks. I do like the “frying pan” finish on the 1, 2 and 3 generations but it’s not a deal breaker. If I’m looking to buy one I would prefer slightly used at a fair price. Or a new one at a fair price. Like you said it’s a tool meant to save your life if heaven forbid you ever have to use it.

I agree about buying used, but to get the G19 with the A-Cut and AimPoint COA...gotta buy it new. Or wait at least a few years before they become more common. As of right now, I can't even find a G19 COA for sale.

Well, I bought a new Glock 40 MOS 10mm several years ago when they weren't common because I couldn't find a used one. Now, the few used ones are close to what I paid for a new one. So, if you can find a new G19 COA even w/o the A-Cut and Aimpoint I say buy it.

For the first year the COA isn't available from anyone but Glock. Even then Glock is only selling them on new fully assembled pistols. Same with the A-Cut, only from Glock and only on new fully assembled pistols. I've seen prices right around the $1K mark with expectations of them coming down to near $900.

After the year is up, AimPoint will be selling the COA as a stand-alone optic, and I imagine Glock will start selling A-Cut slides.
