To say it was a successful trip is putting it mildly . John Ed put me in touch with Rocky Valley safari and within a month my wife and I were in Ethiopia . We first went to the Bale mountain's for the Mountain Nyala. On the first morning I looked over five bull's and decided on this magnificent animal .
The second animal on my list for this area was a spotted Hyena that I got on the third day . Moving to the Dankil / Afar low lands we hunted for the Lesser Kudu , Beisa Oryx , Simmering Gazelle , Gerenuk and Salt Dik Dik .within a few days we got them all .
overall conditions in Ethiopia are not that great but the hunting is fantastic . Got to fill up all the licenses I paid for and in the time remaining we did a cultural tour of some of the tribes in south Ethiopia , very interesting people who live in very primitive conditions .
I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
