I’m heading to DSC for the first time with no target animals in mind. I have all of the Dangerous 7 except for the Elephant and that’s only because of the import restrictions. I love Cape buffalo hunting but always try and add animals that I needed or desired. I know this sounds like a trivial topic but I would really appreciate some suggestions. Two animals that I don’t have but would like are trophy Lechwe and Nyala...just not sure I would fly to Africa for just those two.

Couple of suggestions:

1) Do buff, nyala, lechwe

2)Ele in SA or Namibia if you want to bring it home and add the 2 PG, or Non export ele in ZIM for a great price, then fly back to SA for the 2 PG

3) Australia buff/pigs

4) South America buff and Axis/stag/blackbuck

5) Something completely different like mountain goat or free range auodad in Texas

Its cool that you can go to DSC and just walk around and see what jumps out at you! (y)

Nice opportunity to just walk around and see if anything strikes your fancy.

Couple suggestions.
1) Same as @cpr0312 buff, nyala, lechwe
2) tiny ten
3) small cats
4) night kritters

Here's an option for you, Do a hunt in Zambia for
Black Lechwe,
Red Lechwe and
Kafue Lechwe.
Add to it Sitatunga in either Kafue or Bangweulu and then slide on down to Luangwa for the Cooksons Wildebeest, Puku and round it off with a Buff?

I’m warming to the Lechwe bundle in Zambia. I’ve hunted the Luangwa for Lion, cape, etc. with Werner van Noordwyk and he did an excellent job. Any other outfitter recommendations in Zambia for Lechwe?

Talk to Strang Middleton, he'll be in Dallas both at the ah dinner and will have a booth #524

My recommendation would be 1. Go after an elephant. I have great memories of my Zimbabwe experience and still hold out hope I may get my tusks home but in the meantime the replicas are great mementos.
2. Hunt something in Western Africa while it is still open.
3. Go to Zambia and I'm sure you can find enough critters to hunt along with your primary.
4. Hunt Nyala in as wild a place you can, for sure within it's indigenous areas. Add it to a Zim elephant;)
5. Take on the Tiny Ten!

All outfitters will be able to put together a package on the lechwe.
I will PM you some contact details.

Is Africa all your after?

Canada - elk, mountain goat, moose. All amazing hunts.

Argentina - water buffalo, axis deer. I did this about 9-10 years ago now. And it was one of my all time experience. I hunted both species with a bow and it was incredible.

Spain - never done this but high on my list. 4 ibex species. The full slam is possible in one trip. But you will have some travel between hunting locations and the species only live in certain mountain ranges. This is a must do for me.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
Behind the scenes of taking that perfect picture.....

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
