@Scott CWO

See below. These are the publicly generated population figures from Russia's own government. If anything, they are inaccurate due to battlefield losses, but lets give them the benefit of the doubt and assume its absolutely correct.

At this point, its irrelevant how many battles Russia wins, they have truly lost the war. There's no point in fighting wars if you cannot occupy and utilize the territories you win. The 20-24 and 25-29 population bands are too small to come home from battle, breed rapidly, and create a young economy able to sustain the necessary government services of the older population bands.

This is what Peter Zeihan has been trying to explain for the past several years. Russia is in a "long goodbye" mode and China/Iran is knocking on their doors. Not good for Russia nor the West in the long term, but especially bad for Russia for the next 20 years. They cannot get their sons back from the dead and they needed them desperately to save their society from becoming an extinct bloodline.

As I haven't owned a suit in over 40 years, it has not been possible for me to wear a suit to any funeral, or any other event where suits are common. I do tend to wear a dark shirt, and always a black hat, to such affairs; usually with a new pair of pressed Wranglers. So far, nobody had kicked me out.
You and me both, brother. I’ve got a black western sport coat but no suit. At my daughter’s formal wedding in July, she wants me to wear black Wranglers, white dress shirt, my sport coat and cowboy hat while the other men are in suits. She said that’s just who I am and that’s what she wants.

View attachment 681736Early polls are showing conservatives running neck and neck with the liberals, the east coast is traditionally a liberal strong hold so there could be some hope. Too early to tell anything for sure but hope.
Can we get a count on how many write-in votes are cast for Trump?!?

Jokes aside I’m not sure that is an option I’d have to look it up to be sure, how does that work in the u.s. is there a place for a write in or do you just right it anyway?

Edit: it would be considered a spoiled ballot if it was tried in Canada I looked it up.

With the middle Canada polls starting to report in looks like conservatives are running about ten seats behind. Of corse most seats have only reported 2-3 polling stations so changes are possible.

My prediction is LPC 187, CPC 125.

I think Blanchet bleeds a few seats from the Bloc with his comments last week.
However it goes I don’t see the ndp having official party status

If Russia doesn't care to retrieve fallen soldiers from the battleground, how do they give 909 bodies of Ukrainian soldiers to Ukraine? If Ukraine does care to retrieve soldies from the battleground, why do they only give Russia 43 and how is that Russia was able to pick up 909 bodies left by Ukrainians and Ukraine was only able to pick up 43 bodies left by Russians, especially if losses are ~5 to 1 in favor of Ukraine, as per the Green T-shift?
me two, I said this early on ,after election . hope it will all come togather before wwIII
wups looks like i posted under the wrong header, i was referring to domestic and foreign policy . But you all are use to it by now,.

Also, you have a simmering territorial conflict that could erupt at any point that Xi or a successor believes he needs to distract domestic opinion from the trajectory of China's economy or failure with respect to Taiwan.

This is 100% spot on. I actually think it makes more sense strategically for China to invade Russia and claim some of its old terrority. I'm sure Russia wouldn't object to another country saying it has a claim to a sovereign nations terroritory.

I have heard more than once that NATO's expansion to the east is not an aggressive step at all, and it does not pose any threat to Russia. And I even read it, and even here. And now it turns out that we have to tremble and cringe. That's the answer to why such events unfolded after the fascist coup in Ukraine.
And what is the purpose of these steps, which are quite expensive, by the way, besides provoking Russia? There is definitely no benefit for Sweden and Finland. Logically speaking, this looks like preparation for an annihilating war against Russia, it is not needed for anything else.
I've said it before, and I will continue to say it until it's understood:

Blaming NATO for expanding east is like blaming the Battered Women's Shelters for an increase in the divorce rate.

As I understand it, it does vary slightly from state to state, but in the US you can write in any name you want. Most will be left un-counted if that person has not filed their paperwork to be a candidate. ... Obviously a wasted vote, but technically a legal one. All other votes on the ballot are counted as usual, regardless of the write-in being counted or not.

It’s not acceptable, it’s also not acceptable to potentially elect a prime minister that is a quarter billion in debt to the central bank of china like carney is and also not acceptable for Trudeau to run around in blackface and have questionable relationships with students as a teacher. None of these things excuse trumps actions two wrongs or ten wrongs still don’t make a right.

I get cold calls a couple times a week from Chinese area codes with a pre recorded message only words I can make out are poillivre and carney, china has definitely interfered in this election. Donald trump as also interfered in this election the difference is he did it publicly and had a far greater reach with his interferences.

I'll try and be more clear:

It is possible at the same time that the President is acting like a buffoon, while simultaneously other disastrous things are underway. Both can be bad. It is not a case of two wrongs making a right, it is a case of worrying about a less important problem while ignoring the larger problem. One shouldn't be worrying about the buzzing of a housefly while ignoring the malarial mosquito.

Meanwhile, accepting as a given that the response is irresponsible, amateur, and antagonistic, is it not a valid concern that a neighbor is being slowly sold out to an aggressor? We know from Open Source reporting that China is producing fentanyl in Canada (https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/fentanyl-produced-in-canada-1.7275200). We also know (as previously posted) that China has infiltrated the ruling party in Canada... and that party seems to be on the way to winning the next election. Tell me again why this shouldn't be concerning?

The Presidents jokes have been clownish, and not helpful, but it's kind of like telling your neighbor his wife is cheating on him. He doesn't like to hear it, and he certainly doesn't like to hear jokes about it... but his wife is still cheating.

From where I sit:
An entire country is willing to keep a party in power when they've been shown to have governed poorly, and will make this vote based on comments made by another country.

The same country is willing to vote for candidates willing to suggest that fellow citizens be kidnapped and turned in to another country because they dared to speak of something.

When it comes to sovereignty, at the risk of quoting Inigo Montoya, "You keep on using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

Oh, and just to make sure everyone is clear that I have some understanding of Canada, its culture and its history, despite my American background of having grown up on a border town, I also have passed the Canadian military Command and Staff Programme (go to CFC in Toronto, my name is on a bronze plaque of foreign officers in the hallway) and I hold a Masters in Defence Studies from the Royal Military College of Canada. They even gave me a neck tie in the college's colours. With my jaded but experienced eye, I see the problem to our north as being right up there with the purchase of farmland near our military bases and "weather" balloons as flying through our airspace. The question is "who is willing to respond?" The frustration is I've been told I've aged out of the game.

At the national level? Maybe for a specific congressman, but not likely.

At the local level?

Gotta love 4 years of the previous admin., +/- half the states and especially Commiefornia regulating for minimum EV %, getting rid of conventional power plants while pushing solar and wind. Now the same states, especially Commifornia are worried about power shortages and skyrocketing consumer electricity costs. Crazytown!

Not to mention Brandon actually damaged at least one of the salt cavern storage facilities used for the strategic oil reserve. He drained the storage too quickly in an attempt to keep consumer gas prices down to help his reelection chances. Can’t make this stuff up…. “But Trump is the real enemy of America”.

Despite their help with drones and munitions, Iran hates you far worse than they hate us. For the moment, they have trapped themselves in a conflict with Israel and their nuclear aspirations. But when that passes, they will resume their destabilization efforts in Russia's Muslim south and southeast. The West will be a useful ally when that happens.

What destabilization efforts are the Iranian's responsible for in the Muslim regions in Russia? Are they suddenly pro-Salafist, but only in Russia?

Terrorists like Ibn al-Khattab and Abu al Walid didn't get their ideology from Iran, they also didn't learn to fight or build their network with the help of Tehran. They developed these skills fighting Russians, with arms provided by the West, and an ideology that comes from countries we arm.

If anything, blowback and second order effects caused by Western (mostly US) operations in Afghanistan and the Middle East fostered the environment that led to the militant movements in the Caucasus in the post-Soviet era (which I'm sure the West was just aghast at seeing unfold).

What would help from the West to deal with problems with the Muslim population of Russia look like? Would it look like when we supported Al Nusra Front and the current terrorist in charge of Syria? Or when we supported the Albanian criminals of the KLA?

We may not like it, but Kadyrov is probably the person best equipped to deal with Salafists inside Russia. He's a brutal gangster, but he doesn't support this ideology, and the only person he answers to is Putin, who also doesn't support it.

Seems they are saying too much reliance on wind and solar contributed to the massive power collapse in Spain and Portugal....

And this one saying uk better watch out as with the government same bullshit it will happen there....

Carney swears to never bow to Trump.

Meanwhile the boa constrictor that is China is slithering up his leg and wrapping around Canada’s torso.

Canada doesn’t have a monopoly on voters focused on silly distractions while truly devastating issues are not dealt with.

Look the other way and maybe it will go away. US voters make Canadians look like Pikers in that regard.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
