Waltz now nominated for UN Ambassador. NSA is a much more important job. This is a clear, face saving demotion.

The key issue I see is... NSA doesn't require senate confirmation... UN Ambassador does..

All Collins, Murkowski, Turtle, and a few others need is an excuse to intentionally throw a wrench into anything Trump wants/supports..

3 months ago Waltz probably had the votes needed to get confirmed even if every D opposed him..

Right now Im not completely sure..

I think he can probably pull it off.. but.. if the entire team of R's that routinely oppose Trump initiatives jointly refuse to support.. it may be a very tight vote..

Is this accurate?.....

There has been a growing separatist movement in the west of Canada for a while. The west gets nothing for equalization payments from the federal government, while Quebec get hundreds of millions. Quebec tried to separate but realized that they wouldn’t get most of Canada’s tax dollars, and they got a whole bunch rights into the constitution. Alberta has about a quarter of the seats in parliament than the Maritime provinces but the same population. Quebec always votes Liberal or Parti Quebecois which is Liberal with a french name, they get most of the federal tax dollars because they are special. The Maritime Provinces also get more social welfare benefits than the west. Ontario votes Liberal because of all the immigrants from 3rd world nations and the free gravy train that comes with it. So Manitoba westerly gets to pay taxes for everyone else to receive the benefits. The west has always been exploited by the Liberals and never voted for them. I hope they separate and I will be out west in a heartbeat, because the east is turning Canada into a 3rd world shithole!
Rant over.

Well I'm not a fan of someone trespassing on private property!

She keeps referring to "our" farmland but I'm sure she is not trying to make a living off it nor paying taxes or interest on it.... And in the face of an ever more burdensome government.

And I don't think she really gets the real point. She's worried about scenery, obviously First World problems. I never heard her talk about how productive farmland is being taken out of production in order to supply energy. So no food, fiber, liquor, pet food, nor bio fuel will be produced from that land again. And the byproduct of photosynthesis will no longer be produced from the sunlight used to produce electricity. That byproduct of course being oxygen. Which this woman is obviously equipped to take full advantage of....

And it appears in this case these solar panels are being placed in an area with restricted sunlight due to weather. Why you would put them in cloudy or snowy regions is beyond me other than it is political. It certainly is not rational and I cannot believe it is scientifically sound.

It sure as hell is not the most "Green friendly" use of that land.

No she doesn't really get to the issues but seems very happy treading on others property rights, and pointing out her chest.... But heck Mike your ex wife even had her beat there and with much more interesting T shirts;)

Couldn't help myself. I replied...

One of Trump's strengths... well perhaps effects is a better word... is that his influence forces some things to a head.

This random judge thing where they pop up and undermine the chief executive position as if they supposedly have the power to do so is bizarre.

I don't argue the merit of them doing so in either direction but it seems a gray area that has long needed to be resolved.

We shall see

Something to consider , a fair portion of those conservative votes out west are from Atlantic Canada. A large portion of my age group had to move away to find decent employment opportunities. If not for the lobster industry keeping sou west Nova afloat and some of the younger demographic here we’d likely of gone liberal as well.

Can anyone clarify when mark carney has to declare his assets? He has 60 days from the time he is sworn in to declare them to the ethics commissioner and then another 60 days before they go public. Does that number go from his original march 14th day of his original swearing in or does it reset itself because of the election?

So far it has come out that mark carney while chair of economic growth for canada (under trudeau) he negotiated a 250 million dollar loan for Brookfield assets management from the people’s bank of china. Who knows what other skeletons will fall out of the closet when his full portfolio is disclosed.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
