Greetings everyone!

I've been looking high and low for a Sabatti Big Five Safari EDL express rifle in .500NE but I cannot for the life of me find any retailers that have anything in stock. The 470 seems to be pretty readily available but not the 500. Is the 500 no longer in production? I have no problem going with the 470 but figured I'd just get that little bit of extra kick with the 500 for roughly close to the the same price.

Thank you all for your help!

It seems they come in cycles, I think the 500s were here before these 470s, so I don't know what's next, will it be 450s, will it be 2yrs before we see anything...

Call, what is it, IFG that imports them? Or wholesalehunter.com

I'd want a 500 as well, good luck

Big Boy Toys in Watford City ND had a Sabati 500 NE in store, last time I was there. Been a few months. Not sure if it was the specific model you are looking for or not?

A 500 was just listed on Gunbroker for fixed price. Better hurry.

Here is one of 54 photos from the Gun Broker add showing muzzles.
The workmanship isn't a London Best rifle!
Does this look to have any Cabalas Grinding?

https://www.gunbroker.com/item/997079832 Buy now for less than $6,000
I have no connection to this rifle or sale...
If one wants a Sabatti 500, this may be for you.

The 500s are very lite but they sure shoot.

If you get a 500 get it to Ken Owen, he can add a recoil reducer in the stock, load develop/regulate if needed and do trigger job.

Ken is probably the most experienced Sabatti double smith outside of their factory; he fixed tons of the ones who were poorly regulated and speaks highly of them.

I would also highly suggest having him change the huge factory front sight to a NECG of your size and color/material.

My profile pic is a R&L from my .470 that Ken regulated.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
