Got my mule deer cape and antlers back from Mexico. Could use some help on mounts. Please share your ideas. I have a good taxidermist in Reno.

If you are using Boyce, then his shop knows all the poses available. Ask the experts

My recommendation is to check wall pedestal forms-it’s a nice modern look. Your taxidermist will give you some ideas based on the measurements of the cape and should have some mounts to help your imagination in thier shop

Very nice! That's what you hope to find in Sonora.

I like to pick poses that remind me of what the deer was doing prior to me shooting him. If there is a way to make that work with a wall pedestal, then I try to do that. I like walk pedestal mounts.

On the other hand, as wide as that deer is, a semi sneak with the ears laid partially back would really make his width stand out.

Here are a couple I had done in wall pedastal mounts to give you an idea of what it might look like.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
