TANZANIA: Tz Safari Disagreement

I also would like more detail of the hunt. That is fair. I see that English is not his first language so let's give him some slack there. That said I don't know why our AH'ers are so sensitive to complaints about outfitters. There are many real sorry ones. Most folks don't complain so they continue to operate. I think there should be a bit more critical eye placed on some in this industry.

Since this thread is completely off the proverbial chain and I am completely ignorant of tsetse flies. Would a therma cell work?

I feel rather fortunate I have been in tsetse free areas now. Sounds like dreadful little demons.
In regards to tsetse flies. It is worth mentioning that they do serve hunting in a very important role.... They help big time in keeping wild areas, wild. They kill cattle (and dogs) through the transmission of sleeping sickness. People can get it too...

Thus the tsetse fly is largely responsible for the existence of the big wild hunting areas of Countries such as Tanzania, Zambia, Mozambique, etc.

I once read on the B1 is that you need to saturate your system with it until you can smell it in your urine.

I tried it once but got tired of taking that many pills.

Very interesting, thanks

For those of you who struggle getting the better half out with you hunting due to lack of bathroom facilities, here is what my brother in law and I came up with a number of years ago. It has gotten a lot of use since then. Quite often when we have ladies with us I'll bring a shower tent that has a open floor that will fit around the chair for total privacy.

One nice thing is all you need to do is to dig a hole and place it over it. Then when you get home you can just take it down to the car wash and hose it off. The seat, bolts, and chair is all plastic.

Nice! A beer holder attached to one of the arms would be a nice touch too. LOL

We never did get around to putting a paper holder on it.

The first time that we took it on a hunt one of my brother in laws grandsons figered out that it was a good glassing spot while we were hunting bison in Utah. We had set it up in some trees with a great view of a hillside

I’d agree with you, but there is a big difference between a report and a one paragraph rant. This clearly wasn’t thought out and came from a 1 post member who joined and apparently left at the same time. A report with details and follow up would receive a very different reception. The members who allude to problems they’ve had but don’t write reports frustrate me and it’s really too bad reports don’t get written. The public perception and reality are two different things sometimes, but most just move on rather than write a report.

In this case, my comment elsewhere (Any Freemasons here?) on using my own name to posts applies. Stand up, and take responsibility for our words and actions. Oh, have fun doing it :))
The real name and faces in photos has been discussed here a few times. Nearly all participating members can be verified quietly through sales or hunt reports they’ve posted if another hunter really wants to know. Making everything you do here fully public under your name opens you up to problems you can’t predict in 10,20,30 years. If you have nothing to lose go for it, but there is no need for it for most members. This site is patrolled by many more than just hunters.

Have you had to be careful where you step since? ;)

We've only used the same camping spot a couple of times.

We do however dig up a small tree and plant it in the hole that we dug.

Too old to worry 'bout it ...

Nice but I can see two upgrades it will need for its first safari.
1: A gun holder:unsure:
2: A splash guard :ROFLMAO:

Real names and faces could prove problematic

In the UK there are multiple examples of the banking system canceling peoples' business and personal accounts simply because they don't approve of their politics

This could easily extend to peoples' activities and values
Crazy, sounds like the Communists of Stalin's time are coming back. Or some Liberal version of Nazis.

Some UK gun and fishing stores lost bank access for a while , and Nigel Farage also they did that too .

More on Fieldsport Channel about it .

Few years back McMillan rifle stocks lost their account at BoA , then Mc set up their own type of bank / credit card firm .

Sadly

Totalitarianism is well on its way

The protagonists, in my opinion are

1. Multi-national corporations with their globalist agenda
2. The Left wing

Although supposedly in opposition to one another - both aim to restrict the individual

Both seek to restrict language, rewrite history and de-value traditional moral standards

(neither group have any real moral values of their own - they just understand that a society that believes in everything, believes in nothing - and are therefore more easily controlled)

Both have hijacked scientific methodology - undermining knowledge and evidence - replacing it with spin and slight of hand wrapped in a veneer of pseudo-science

Both employ the environmental religion as a primary social driver for economic and behavioural change

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
Behind the scenes of taking that perfect picture.....

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
Ready for the hunt with HTK Safaris
