Trophy the film - let your voice be heard

For the last three years myself and my partner Christina have worked to create a documentary about the effects of creating commercial value on animals and its connection to conservation.

The film Trophy will be in theaters this summer!

Yesterday we posted our first picture on Instagram at trophythefilm of the main character Phillip Glass and within hours of our post we have been overwhelmed with death threats both against us and against Phillip, bulling us to shut up. Rest assured we will not be shunned away and we will not stop the fight to create a conversation.

Posted on the instagram threads. I seriously wonder how people think they can intimidate hunters with death threats over the Internet. These are people who hunt lions. They are not going to be afraid of a keyboard bound social justice warrior.

I am looking forward to seeing a trailer (hint hint) and then the film itself. I applaud all involved in the film for trying to start a conversation. Its a first step towards understanding an issue rather than just spouting off whatever some interest group has fed you as the "truth."

Official trailer is coming out in about a month and a half. A few people like Jerome from this blog and of course Phillip have seen the film. It's playing in film festival across the country. We are playing at New Jersey, Boston, and Colorado next, best way to keep up with festival is our Facebook page, (@trophythefilm we announce them all) or on the website www.trophythefilm.com

I don't have a large venue, but if you ever want to host a small screening for people on AH, I would be willing to host at my house in the Fresno, CA area. My dedicated theater has luxury seating for 9 and the room is large enough to handle about 20 if people want to sit on the floor or in the aisles on folding chairs. It wouldn't get the buzz you get in a film festival but you would have some major supporters of your efforts to show this topic in an unbiased fashion coming in to see it.
