It does not, but I can certainly grab some out of my parts bin to add to it, this is simply as I got this action as it sits, there are no screws either etc. Thanks for the interest.

I'm trying to learn something about small and large ring Mausers. From what I'm reading this would appear to be large ring as the locking ring on left side is larger than the rest of the receiver behind it? Sources say it should be possible to lay a ruler against left side and everything is flush. Correct me if I'm wrong. Trying to learn something.

I missed the pin too, let me revise to almost complete! Ha. I will take a look later, I may have a spare pin too. Again I believe this to be small ring, I will double check when I get home, not all small rings are straight across to the wall, that’s why I mentioned Czech 33/40 style action cuts.

No, there are multiple small ring actions that are cock on opening, 33/40, kurz etc.

I apologize for the flub in the add, I had too much going on and should have waited. Here is a corrected description.

This is a large ring turned down to 1.349 which is why I had small ring stuck in my mind originally, it is also an intermediate length action, and as such I do not have a firing pin to fit this length. It will additionally include:
Magazine spring
Follower
Cocking piece
Action screws

As for the missing parts, how about a price drop to $550

Please excuse my ignorance. What is an intermediate Mauser action and what firing pin would it take? Also, what is the length of the magazine box?

I think he means "standard length" Mauser action? From what I'm reading there are short, standard, and magnum length Mausers. If it is standard length, then followers, springs, strikers and cocking pieces are readily available. Some variations in cocking pieces but the other parts should all be the same.

Standard length would be 8mm/30-06 range of cartridges to start. I built 404 Jeffery on a standard length Mauser and they have been used to build 375 H&H and 416 Rigby. However, the locking ring on this one has been turned down to thinner diameter so it might not be advisable turning it into a thumper.

There are kurz, intermediate, standard, and magnum lengths. Then to confuse that, there are two different lengths of bolts in a couple of different iterations of intermediate action. Mauser Oberndorf typically offered the 7x57 class cartridge in their intermediate actions. When I get home I can snap a comparison of most all of those bolts side by side if there’s interest. It actually gets slightly more convoluted than that if you want to talk about prototype and limited production actions too.

Ah. So this would be a Model 24 Mauser? A large ring action shortened slightly from 8.8" t0 8.46". Apparently not many were made, relatively speaking. Interesting. Presumably the ring was turned down to remove the crest of some country that ordered it for military?

Thank you for all the input. I was thinking about building a 9.3X62 and happen to have a complete 98 bolt that I could strip for the firing pin, but the intermediate part really had me scratching my head, I still am.

Yea I would agree it’s a model 1924, but there is even a third intermediate bolt length I didn’t know of, they get convoluted in military contract actions. So which 1924 is still the question, the bolt body measures roughly 6.14 OAL. Here are some pictures of the general differences in the four “typical” lengths of bolt.
