I have been talking with DJ with Leeuwkop Hunting Safaris in Zimbabwe. Before booking with him I was wondering if any members who have hunted with him and can give me any information good or bad . You guys are a wealth of information and I have not heard of him,
Thanks for any advice or information.

They are a great bunch of guys
Hunted SA last year with them and it was all great
food, accommodations, the works and especially my Kudu - it was PG hunt

Can not speak about Zim. but DJ and is Dad are all about the customer first and foremost
DJ is on the younger side of things but no worries about his skills.

I assume you are going to meet him at the Houston show this weekend if not you will have missed a great chance to meet and get to know him

They all know me a "Uncle Rick" please drop my name with them

PM me if you have more questions or just want to talk about DJ or Africa Hunting

I met him in Dallas at the Texas Trophy hunters Show and we had a good talk and will see him again in Houston on Friday. I had a good feeling about him but wanted to check with the group and get more references.

This is more of a general statement but the questions I would ask him would be which area? Who holds the lease? Who will be the PH and Outfitter? I think you pretty much need to be a Zim citizen to be a licensed PH. My preference has always been to book with a Zimbabwe outfitter when hunting in Zimbabwe.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
Behind the scenes of taking that perfect picture.....

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
Ready for the hunt with HTK Safaris
